Roadtrip 2017 dag 4

Geneve was already full of life when we opened our eyes in our big bed, so we joined in, packing our things and having a little breakfast. Soon we were on the bike again, riding in Geneve's crazy traffic - lots of cars going fast, motorcycles and scooters passing them on all sides even faster. Soon enough we went on a highway and stayed there for the rest of today's trip because of a big distance that we had to make, but the weather was nice and the views of surroundings beautiful, so we were happy and entertained. The sun was shining, painting our cheeks red and making us feel warmer and warmer - couldn't even think of wearing a sweater under my motorjacket, what was necessary in the Netherlands! The mountains were disappearing and reappearing again, with the landscape changing very fast under our turning wheels - from green and full of trees to dry, rocky and rough. We went on and on, with only an ice cream break helping us to cool down, because even the wind on a highway felt hot. Finally we arrived at our today's stay - a hotel in Montpellier city. After some recovering from the long ride and adjusting our airco to the coolest temperature, we went out to explore the city. After taking a tram to the center we had a filling dinner and started walking around - huge, impressive buildings started appearing in front of our eyes one after another. We looked around, made pictures and enjoyed the feeling of roaming unknown streets. Big churches, Arc de Triomphe, statues and little fountains around them - everything that caught our eyes got saved in our cameras and memories. After enjoying an ice cream, we took a tram that brought us closer to our hotel and walked back, crossing a wide river, where big fish attracted Marcel's attention. But we'll be fishing very soon already! After watching them for a while we returned to our room. Now we'll make sure to have a good night's rest. More adventures on the way!
