Jubileum tour dag 9: El Rosario - Ensenada

30 maart 2017 - Ensenada, Mexico

After a quiet night we woke up in our big beds even before the wake-up alarm rang. We had more than enough time to prepare and pack our things before breakfast. We had breakfast with our friends at Mama Espinoza's restaurant, while waiting for food to be served there was time for buying souvenirs. We also had a talk with some American bikers as we ate. Soon we were on our way again. The landscape has been changing so much again! It became much more green, and for the first time we saw people using the ground as farmland. Some roads were under construction, and quite a challenge to pass, but Marcel and our Yamaha handled that very well. After about 100 miles we had an ice-cream break - delicious home made ice-cream, packed in plastic that we needed to cut open. I didn't trust it at first, but the taste was so much better than expected! We've reached our castle-like hotel through a busy traffic of Ensenada. Our room is big and has a wonderful view over a part of the city and its enormous Mexican flag. We've been exploring it, and later having dinner at a cozy little diner. We had something really special for dessert - fried ice-cream! It indeed was fried, and tasted just great! After that we returned to the hotel to prepare for the last night in Mexico. Tomorrow we'll be entering the United States!

Ah, a boring day, no shooting? Was a little too much excitement I suppose. Have a save trip tomorrow and good luck crossing the border.
