Roadtrip 2018 dag 7

We woke up after a good night's rest to discover thick rain clouds covering Warsaw. We took our time to freshen up and, armored with our raincoats, went to have breakfast in a cafe nearby. Because it was raining heavily and we couldn't go exploring further, we slowly enjoyed our food in this weird, funky cafe, decorated in rabbit theme, full of children's books and quotes like "You don't have to be crazy to work here....we'll train you" :) Afterwards we returned to our cozy hotel to pass our time resting and working on the pictures, while waiting for at least the heaviest rain to pass. At 13:30 we were out again - the rain had passed, so we hurried to take a tram to the old town. There we went on exploring, having a lunch at Pizza Hut, and going on around this big castle, then taking a walk along the river Wisla, that also flows through Krakow. We've also met a couple of tourists that we went on the tour of places around Krakow together - twice!! At the second time we had a talk, exchanged our names, wished eachother a nice trip and split, for the last time now. It was such a wonderful coincidence! Later we returned to the big square of the old town and walked on a long street, reaching the city centrum. There, between all the tall modern towers, stood an enormous old building called the Palace of Culture and Science. After taking a lot of pictures we've had a dinner at the Golden Gates restaurant and went to a tram stop to go back, because it was getting late and we still had a lot of preparations to do. ….it was so difficult to find the right tram!... There were no maps, so we both had to use navigations, Marcel on his motorcycle GPS and me on my phone, to be able to find stops at least a bit closer to our hotel. And we succeeded, having to walk around a kilometer instead of three. Back at our place we've been packing our things and preparing for riding again tomorrow. Excited what the road ahead will bring!
