We left our hotel as soon as possible, because this day would also be busy with riding. It started out quite cool as we drove down the highway, admiring beautiful mountains around us, but the temperature kept climbing up, especially when a sky blue spot appeared in the distance - the coast of the Mediterranean sea! We drove through Nice, a city situated on the shore and up in the mountains, giving a fantastic view over it. We followed the French coast until we entered Monaco - a new country for us both! - and stopped there a few times to take a closer look at what this tiny country has to offer (loads of tourists and luxury). After exploring Monaco's fanciness and surviving its heat, we hopped on the bike again and in no time were in France once more. Not for long, though - suddenly the French coast became Italian! We took some pictures at the border sign and went on through the highway. These coastal Italian highways, placed up high in the mountains, let us admire the tiny cities along the bright blue sea. It was a very long ride, and just about 15 kms from our today's home we got in a huge traffic jam and had difficulties finding our way through roads that have been changed. We arrived at our stay, Genua, quite late (an exotic B&B), so we didn't have much time to explore it. After a crazy bus ride down the mountain(our B&B is quite up high), we dined in the city center, walked around a bit and went back. Upcoming days we'll focus more on the destination!
