Roadtrip 2019 Italy, day 5

We had a good night's rest and enjoyed a homemade breakfast of our host. Soon we were on Italian highways again, admiring the view around us. Slowly we went inwards, and coastal surroundings changed into rocky mountains, with clouds covering their sharp peaks. We fastly reached our stay of today - city of Lucca and a whole apartment for us (really old styled and unique). After dropping our luggage off we jumped on the bike again, and after a short ride ended up in the city of Pisa! …..for a very obvious, leaning reason, of course! We got out of our hot motorsuits as we had spare clothes with us, but I forgot my shoes, so while walking around in motorboots I received more looks than the leaning tower itself. We walked around the place and made a lot of pictures, with the most cliché poses we could think of. Check - been there, done that! After some refreshing drinks and last pictures, we returned to the bike and drove back to Lucca. There we freshened up and went out tot explore the city center which was surrounded by high walls. And behind those walls it was full of life! We explored many little streets, squares with impressive buildings, had a salad for dinner and ice cream for dessert....and met many, MANY Dutch people! It was funny to hear the Dutch language around almost all the time. Now we're back at our cozy place to take our rest before the upcoming adventures!
