Roadtrip 2019 Italy, day 6

After a calm night at out cozy stay we said goodbyes to our friendly host and took off. This time we avoided highways, so we could see more of Italian countryside - colorful houses with thick walls and small windows, scooters everywhere, tiny stores, few people on the streets who dared to face the midday heat. Like this we could also save some time (no traffic jams) and also money (almost no toll and bike uses less fuel). We stopped at a café to have filling sandwiches for lunch, and went on...till a little place named Aurelia, like the niece of Marcel! We took some photos of the sign of this place, and then it was just a little while until our destination - Rome! We checked in at a camping where a bungalow was waiting for us. That took quite a while, and when we finally got the key, we locked ourselves out of the bungalow. Luckily the staff helped us to get in again. Then the first thing we did was take a refreshing swim at the camping's pool. Afterwards we prepared, dined at the one and only Golden Gates restaurant and went off to explore Rome! The goal of today was Vatican - my 20th country! It was so tiny and special. After many pictures we had a few drinks at the Golden Gates restaurant (and received half a toilet paper roll worth receipt) and returned back to the camping because it was getting dark, and we had laundry to do. No worries, though - tomorrow we explore Rome further!
