Roadtrip 2021 Frankrijk & Spanje dag 16

Our last morning in Caspe was packing packing packing, preparing and waving the fishing village till next time. We still followed the river Ebro for quite some time! The ride was super beautiful, with the Pyrenees appearing again, with incredibly blue waters, high foresty mountains and huge birds of prey flying around. Cute little mountain-towns appeared from time to time as well. Even in the mountains, it was still very hot. We took some stops and kept on steadily driving. Again, border sign was hard to catch as it was at a place a bit unhandy to stop which was monitored by the police. We did get another kind of France-sign a bit further! Finally the mountain road had to end, and before entering the highway we tanked the bike at the gas station, and ourselves at the MC. Last 100 kms flew by on the highway and finding our hotel in today´s stop - Toulouse. There we freshened up quickly and went to explore the city. The city didn´t really have very outstanding buildings, but its´ old centre was all, well, old - beautiful old style with lots of details and cute metal balconies. Downstairs of these buildings were modern shops. Little squares were full of people enjoying their evening. Here we also came across (literally) the river Garonne again, only looking slightly different - a bit narrower and with cleaner waters. It was getting dark soon, so after making some rounds around the centre we headed back to the hotel to relax. Tomorrow we climb further up in France!
