Roadtrip 2021 Frankrijk & Spanje dag 18

The day began as always - we packed, had breakfast and left our stay. It was raining slightly, and we took it easy on the highway as we didn´t want to catch up with the thunderstorm ahead of us. The riding went nice and easy as we had some tea- and stretch-stops. Finally the traffic jams on the highway already gave a sign that we are close to our destination of today - the capital of France, Paris. There it took us about 1,5 hour to get through the city´s literal hell of a traffic, through pouring rain, to reach our stay. That was an experience we never wish to repeat again :) We´ve been through some crazy Italian traffic, but this was a whole new level of crazy. Anyways, safe, wet, and tired, we checked in and spent some time relaxing. Then we took off to get some dinner and explore the evening city centre a bit. We had a good dinner at the Burger King, bought some metro cards and went to the centre. Of course, firstly we had to visit the Eiffel tower. It was getting darker and darker, so the dark metal tower was getting lighter with each minute! We took lots of pictures of many angles. Then we took a walk to the nearest MC for some ice cream. It took us longer than expected cause we´re still figuring it out a bit, but afterwards we finally reached our stay by metro. Tomorrow we visit the Eiffel tower again, and all the other beautiful things Paris has to offer!
