Roadtrip 2021 Frankrijk & Spanje dag 20

So, after a very long ride, we´re finally home!....

....just kidding, we´re in Brussel! :)
We left Paris very smoothly as we entered the highways almost immediately. The ride was also smooth, I guess we´re getting used to the routine and can endure more and more. Entering Belgium went a bit faster than we expected (highway, eh) so no very nice pictures of the border. Fortunately, no borders we haven´t had before! Nice and fast, after a few snack breaks, we reached Brussel, with traffic quite less crazy than that of Paris. We checked in our cozy hotel and afterwards went exploring. Marcel led us straight to the big tourist attraction, the little fountain of a peeing boy, Manneken Pis. Some pictures later, we went to an incredibly beautiful square where we stared around and made some more pictures. After a dinner at the MC, we continued, reaching a statue of Zinneke Pis, a peeing dog, not a fountain unfortunately. Then Marcel was looking all around for something, walking in circles, and not telling me what exactly we´re searching for. In a tiny street crowded with drinking students we found it - Jeanneke Pis! A fountain of a peeing girl, obviously. I was like whaat, how many are those?? But with the girl we´ve completed the series. Then some nice buildings followed, like a big church, a tower, and a walk through the park with nice fountains in it. Finally, we jumped in the metro for the finale - Atomium. It was already getting dark, and when we exited our metro-stop, there we saw it standing, a colossal molecule, full of shiny little lights. We had so much fun taking pictures of it in the evening sky! After that we took a long metro ride to our hotel, had some snacks at Burger King and called it a day. Tomorrow we ride even further up North! Curious where? Then stay tuned ;)
