Roadtrip 2021 Frankrijk & Spanje dag 21

Our day started in our cozy stay in Brussel, with a nice breakfast and slowly packing. Then we started riding, but not immediately - we wanted to visit the Atomium in the daylight as well! The huge construction was shining nicely in the sun. We took some pictures of ourselves and the bike over there, and another biker couple helped us (and we helped them) take pictures of each other! Afterwards we waved Brussel goodbye and trekked further North. The riding was smooth and soon we left Belgium. Some pictures of border signs later, we suddenly returned to Belgium again! In and out, in and out... Turns out, in the town Baarle Nassau the borders between the Netherlands and Belgium are incredibly scatterred! After enjoying that, we rode through some more towns, enjoyed a drink at some local cafe and then found ourselves on the highway again. We wanted to reach our today´s destination real bad, so we made big distances between our stops. Finally, Fryslan... The Achmea tower in the background... The house of Marcel´s parents. Some joyful hugs and talks later, we continued, to the tank station... And then, there it was, the goal of today. Home.

This vacation was unique and beautiful, as every other motor trip we had. Beautiful coastal France, the capitals and other big cities of France and Spain and the wonderful fishing in Caspe let us make many great memories again. It was heavy and exhausting, amusing and breathtaking, relaxing and hot, making us sore, making us laugh, making our heads so empty and full at the same time. After few years of sitting at home, we needed this little escape so much. And now we´re back again, already dreaming of the next adventure!..
