Roadtrip 2022 Denemarken dag 14

Our morning started as usual for the trip - packing, preparing, eating fastly and storming off further. Small country roads led us a way back as we got off the island onto the next one, where the road turned into a highway. On that highway we fastly closed in on an important means of transportation - a ferry, which would bring us from Denmark back to Germany. We bought tickets, waited for a while and soon could come aboard. There we tied the bike to a wall so it wouldn´t fall, and went upstairs where I got my first coffee of the day (it was afternoon so I was really needing it already!) Afterwards we went on the deck where we could watch the sea and feel the wind. There we just admired the view, enjoyed the wind, and watched Marcel´s GPS closely. Soon it came - the German border! It was in water this time, but still, accurate enough for us to make some pictures to mark it (and mostly have fun). After about an hour on the boat, we reached land and could continue our journey on German roads. We went through the highway, which went smoothly except of a few kms of a traffic jam due to road repairs. We were getting very hot in our motorcycling gear, so it was nice to finally reach our stay of today - Lübeck. There we checked in our nice hotel room, freshened up and went out to eat and explore. We had pizza for dinner, and went through the city while making pictures. There was so much to see! Almost every street had a unique looking old building in it, and most of the centre looked old and incredibly cozy. We made a walk around it, and sat down at one of the restaurants along the water for a beer. When the beer was finished we got to know that we can´t pay it, so Marcel left me to sit there while he retrieved some cash. Then we slowly walked back to the hotel, which was not so far anymore. Tomorrow we´ve got another day in this beautiful city!
