Roadtrip 2018 dag 1

We woke up at around 06:00, and the further we prepared, the more excited we got - brand new adventure awaits! Soon we were on the road and that's how half of the day looked like - lots and lots of highways. At a certain moment we went off the Dutch highways onto village roads to cross into Germany on a spot where we both have been before, but the border signs were gone! So we drove off, deeper into Germany. Traffic jams kept forming on the roads that we were taking, we were stuck at at least 4 of them! We've been stopping for little breaks and fuel, and kept on going. The last kilometers of the highway were so shaky that it felt like riding a horse instead of a motorcycle! After quite a huge distance behind us, we've reached Leipzig - the stay of today. After checking in our hotel and a quick freshing up, we rushed out to explore the city. All of the buildings in the center were eye-catching and huge. We've enjoyed big buckets of ice-cream that we could build up ourselves while sitting by a beautiful fountain. Then we went on exploring the streets of Leipzig, finding interesting buildings on the way.

For dinner we stopped at a pizzeria for wonderful Italian pizzas, and fort dessert we've returned to the store with delicious ice-creams, where we created one together. A wasp wanted a taste of the ice-cream too, so it tried sucking it out through Marcel's neck. Afterwards we slowly went back to our hotel room, making some more pictures on the way. Now we're back, writing stories, sorting out pictures and preparing for tomorrow's new journey.
