Roadtrip 2018 dag 19

Poznan greeted us with a clear blue sky, and after a good breakfast we were on the road again. We drove through narrow countryside roads, what Marcel has chosen on purpose to get to se more of the country. It was forests, fields and villages where we would stop for ice-cream. Suddenly we've reached a huge bridge over a river - on one side there was the Polish border, on the other - the German. After taking some pictures we went on riding, now through the German countryside. We were slowly cooking in our thick motor suits, no matter how fast we would go. Hot or not, it was incredibly exciting to reach a new city (for me, for Marcel not well explored) - Berlin! There we've checked in our very lovely hotel and immediately went for cold showers. Then some exploring followed! With a metro we've arrived at a square where the enormous TV tower of Berlin is standing. We walked around, taking many pictures of fountains, churches, towers and all the interesting old buildings. We've also visited a big, maze-like monument for the victims of the Holocaust, adding up to what we've been learning and visiting on this journey. We've walked a whole lot and saw a lot as well, so as we'll have another day for Berlin tomorrow, we decided to go have dinner and return to the hotel. We also grabbed a beer on a terrace in between! Now we're back, getting ready for the night. Tomorrow we explore Berlin further!
