Roadtrip 2016 Great Britain dag 13

25 juli 2016 - Harwich, Verenigd Koninkrijk

Today was the last day in Great Britain, and an easy ride to Harwich, a place from where a ferry would bring us back to the Netherlands. After a nice English breakfast at the hotel we stayed a little while longer, then packed and jumped on the bike for the last kilometers of this trip made in England. This time it was mostly highways, but we took it slow because we had plenty of time.
Just a few km before our final destination Marcel suddenly braked, stopped next to the road and told me to get off. I asked why, but without explaining he told me to take pictures of him sitting on the bike. As I did, he finally told me that it was the 25000th km that this bike has made. Also, the 25000th km was filmed!
We arrived at Harwich at about 18:00 and drove around looking for a place to have dinner, because we were tired of eating hamburgers. So we ended up at Domino's Pizza :) When both of the pizzas were gone, we got back on the bike and arrived in the harbor at 19:00. After a check-in we had to wait in line with other bikers for two hours until we got on the ship. There we tied the motorcycle tight and went for an ice-cream. When the ferry was on its way to Hoek van Holland, we were already deeply asleep in our cabin.
