Roadtrip 2021 Frankrijk & Spanje dag 9

After the last night in Madrid we packed our stuff and woke the bike up again to continue our journey. 100 km at a time, we steadily closed in on the Eastern coast of Spain, stopping from time to time to drink and snack (a stray cat joined us for water during one of the stops). The closer to our destination we got, the hotter it was getting. Finally, sweaty and a bit sore, we reached Valencia, to battle through its´ traffic and get to our stay in the heart of the old centre. After a confusing check-in (as it was a computer instead of a reception), we went exploring. First of all we got a map and handy info at a tourist info-centre, and then went to explore Valentia´s park, stretching out from the centre almost till the harbors, with its´ modern art-and-science museums. Marcel preferred the modern buildings, and me, as we said, the ¨old crap¨ (ouwe meuk), so after walking all around the modern park and making countless of fun pictures, we slowly headed back to the old centre. There we dined at the Golden Gates restaurant and went looking for the old stuff, which was hard to miss! It was getting dark fastly, so after getting an ice cream we decided to call it a day. Tomorrow we don´t have to rush, so some extra exploring is doable!
