Roadtrip 2022 Denemarken dag 8

It was a beautiful morning we woke up to at our stay. Preparations and breakfast went fast - soon we waved our friendly host goodbye and returned on the road again. It took us to go by Legoland once more, and then we drove on though small country roads again. Through forests which smelled amazing, fields with rabbits running in them, people along the road selling their potatoes and strawberries. Heavy coulds hung above our heads, but the sun persisted to shine through them. We stopped for our second breakfast - freshly baked tiny pizzas, ice coffee and cola. Then with new energy we continued, right until our big stop - an old caste surrounded by beautiful gardens, attractions for young and old alike, and many musea. We checked in and firstly went to explore the castle. It was interesting to see how people lived many years ago, as everything was preserved as good as possible! Their bedrooms, living rooms, trophy rooms. We could see the clothes they wore, the dishes they used, the toys they played with, the pistols they used for duelling. Later we continued though the garden, however, the rain was pouring! That didn´t stop us to go take a walk ´´among the tree-tops´´, and later we took a look at a few musea of vehicles. When we returned to the motorcycle, our helmets and boots were wet!.. Fortunately the ride was short till our destination - Odense. A beautiful city, and the birthplace of the famous writer H. C. Andersen. We followed ´´his footsteps´´ all over the city to find places and buildings that were important to him, or which he used to visit. At a little stage in a park we saw people practising a performance according to one of the Andersen´s stories. After dining we explored the city further, strolling through its´ parks and centre. We closed the day off with an ice-cream, and returned to our cozy hotel room. Tomorrow a long ride awaits!
