Roadtrip 2022 Denemarken dag 13

We had a nice morning with breakfast outside in the sunny garden, then prepared, said thankyous and goodbyes to our host and left Roskilde. ...after also tanking the bike and getting ourselves some nice food for on the way. It wasn´t a long way to go today, so we took it nice and easy along the small coastal roads. Soon time came for the second breakfast, and we chose a wonderful sea view on a quiet beach to enjoy our mini pizzas. We rode on, crossed a bridge to the island of Møn, and went on through forests and fields, sometimes crossing a tiny town on the way. Soon we arrived at our main goal of today - Møns Klint, a stretch of white, chalk cliffs with black stone beaches beneath. We changed into comfortable clothes and went onto this super adventurous road, which started of going down many flights of stairs. We saw people climbing up, wet and exhausted, but didn´t know exactly yet what was waiting.... Then we saw the cliffs emerge from between the trees. They were breathtaking. We went all the way down, and then had to take our shoes off to get to the beaches, as the sea was reaching the stairs and overflowing a very thin streak of beginning of the beach. The water was cold and the stones were slippery, but it was so much fun! Then we put our shoes back on and proceeded along the beach. The cliffs looked magnificient from down below. We walked quite far and took many pictures. Also, we wrote our names on a big rock with some chalk which was laying everywhere. Then, sweaty and white from the chalk, we decided to turn around. It wasn´t very easy walking on the stony beach, but the hardest part was yet to come - back up the stairs.... Slowly, taking some rest, we made our way up, and celebrated it with an icecream. Then we rode to our stay of today, which is a farm-guesthouse in a tiny town of Borre. After some relaxing we went to a bigger town nearby called Stege to get ourselves salads and mini pizzas for dinner, and dined and Stege´s harbor. We had loads of relaxing and fun, trying to get hungry seagulls away from us. Then we went back to our stay, to relax further and recharge before tomorrow´s ride.
