We were sitting on the bike quite early already - after a quick shower and a filling breakfast, of course - because of the long road ahead of us. In few minutes after leaving our hotel we crossed into Germany, and got greeted by a huge cloud of rain. Quite soon we went in Belgium, stayed an hour there until we returned to Germany again, then we found ourselves in Luxembourg for a few hours until we finally reached France and stayed there. It was a very long ride, full of beautiful nature (we saw lots of hawks and even a bald eagle!) with hills, rivers and forests, and lots of rain. To be honest, I enjoyed this weather way more than the heat, although sometimes the rain was really hard. After many kilometers we arrived at our stay of today - hotel Sauvage in the heart of Dijon. The rain was pouring, so we took our time to freshen up, and when we left the sun was shining. We explored Dijon with help of little owls on golden arrows, placed on the streets and leading to things worth discovering. So we discovered, dined at the Golden Gates restaurant, discovered some more, got lost and found our way back again. Dijon is big and beautiful, with every little street offering something special. As I write this, I sit on a windowsill by an open window of our room, looking down on a tiny alley boiling with nightlife. Soon we will go to sleep and dream of what awaits for us ahead!
