Roadtrip 2019 Italy, day 21

After a lovely breakfast in our pension we went off onto the mountain roads again! Quite soon we've reached the road like no other - Stelvio pass. It went up sharply through a lot of hairpin-curves, and it was full of people who wanted to enjoy it - in cars, on bicycles, but the most on motorcycles. The views were breathtaking! Snowy mountain tops were right beside us. However, the road was heavy to ride, what made us tense, me especially. It was worth it for the view, though! After riding Stelvio we left Italy and entered Switzerland. …..nothing more beautiful than those tall mountains, green forest-y valleys and little villages along the way. The weather was really cool - around 15-20 degrees, way lower than we were used to in Italy, but also way more enjoyable! The stay of today was a little room under a restaurant, with a huge bunkbed that takes most of the space. After dropping off our stuff we went off again, to find ourselves in......Lichtenstein! Another new country for me (nr. 4 on this trip)! We went straight to take a look at the famous Vaduz castle, then we wanted to explore the city center but it was closed for a national event, so we dined instead and headed back to our stay - it was raining, and the weather forecast didn't promise it to get any better! Back at our place we made a little walk in the village and went relaxing. Tomorrow we're heading into Germany!
