Today was the day to leave our super cozy stay in Nicolosi, and to leave Sicily. We had breakfast, said goodbyes to the family hosting us and drove off. On the way we waved goodbye to Etna, and after the ferry brought us to the main land - to Sicily. It was a long ride along the East coast of Italy, and we were climbing up again, in direction of our home. On one of our breaks we met a couple of Dutch tourists with which we had a nice talk. At our destination, a hotel just a few hundred meters away from sea, we learned that one of the Italians running the place speaks Dutch! Turns out he lives in the Netherlands with his Dutch wife and their daughter, and they return here in summer to help the rest of the family. After a quick shower we went straight to the sea! There we had lots of fun swimming in the waves. Few hours of beach-vacation! Afterwards we showered, went for a walk along the beach, and finally dined at the hotel´s restaurant. We got served by the Dutch-speaking Italian, his daughter and more of their Italian family, and had lots of fun talking with each other. The food was also delicious! Tomorrow we have a long ride again, but it´s easy as pie after such a relaxing evening!
