This morning we woke up really early, because we ha to leave extra early before a long ride. Our breakfast was arranged already at a diner nearby, so not long afterwards we were already sitting on our bikes, ready to leave, when.....when one of the Harleys broke down. It took a while of trying to fix it, and finally a spare bike took it's place, so we could finally be on our way to El Rosario. Again, the landscape was too beautiful for words to describe it....rocky mountains with cactuses growing all over them, fields of rough desert bushes growing in bright red sand, tall plants we don't even know names of.... The ride was picturesque and amusing, but also quite tiring. We've made a few resting stops, at one was this huge cactus everybody wanted a picture with. Although our last stop wasn't planned - just 15 miles away from our hotel we suddenly stopped in front of a long traffic jam. We were able to get closer, and got t know that CSI's were blocking the road - 4 people were shot. After a long wait we could finally pass through. After filling our bikes with fuel and receiving our room keys we freshened up and went out for a dinner with our friends. Now we'll go take our rest before tomorrow's more relaxed ride to Ensenada.
